This established song-stylist/composer, with more than two decades of artistry as a choreographer, dancer, writer and dramatist, has proven herself in the entertainment industry. Among an extensive list of credits, Bella Carib appeared as a lead dancer in Universal's motion picture Doctor Detroit, along side the film star Dan Aykroyd and James Brown. In addition to this, she has been featured on numerous television shows and in hundreds of concerts and musicals, working with world-acclaimed artists such as Lucky Dube, the Mighty Sparrow, El General and David Rudder. She has also completed a year in concert with the Legendary Greats of Comedy, Jazz & Soul, hosted by Ernest Thomas, star of the television show, What's Happening Now.With this group she stylistically portrayed, one of her idols, the legendary Josephine Baker.

Bella resides in Los Angeles, and holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Southern California. During her scholarly endeavors, she explored the power of dance and music as a vehicle for positive change -- determining that tolerance to cultural differences can be developed through exposure to ethnic dance and music.

Born in Belize, Bella Carib grew up on the stage with the famous Bob Reneau musical and dance group. Today she brings to her music the multi-cultural roots of her country -- a blend of African, Caribbean, and Latin rhythms, highlighting the PUNTA ROCK sound from the Garifuna heritage of Southern Belize.

In 1991, her hit single "Bald Head Man" swept the country of Belize like a storm. It remained in the top twenties chart for several consecutive weeks, and was nominated among the best songs of the year. Subsequently, Bella was nominated in the category, Best New Recording Artist. Following this, one of her latest albums, Tropical Motions, became an addition to masterpieces of Caribbean music collection.

This name "Bella Carib" means beautiful Caribbean, and Beautiful Caribbean is definitely this lady: Bella Carib. She is royally captivating; she is the Queen of Punta Rock-a sight for sore eyes to see, with a sound for aching ears to hear. She brings you instant healing!
